Subject: [openfabrics-ewg] license issues

Here are the most problematic files in the distribution. These files
only
contain a GPL and no BSD license:

    branches/1.0/src/userspace/srptools/src/srp-dm.c
    branches/1.0/src/userspace/srptools/src/srp-dm.h

These files contain only a BSD license and no GPL:

    branches/1.0/src/userspace/libehca/src/ehca_uclasses.h
    branches/1.0/src/userspace/libehca/src/ehca_u_mrmw.c
    branches/1.0/src/userspace/libehca/src/ehca_uinit.c
    branches/1.0/src/userspace/libehca/src/ehca_everbs.h

Could the people responsible for those files fix them? Incidentally, is
the
eHCA driver currently being tested? Who is doing that? What is its
current
status?

The top level COPYING file for the kernel code has the appropriate dual
license. This emulates the Linux kernel. But it also contains the
following copyrights:

Copyright (c) 2004 Infinicon Corporation. All rights reserved.
Copyright (c) 2004 Intel Corporation. All rights reserved.
Copyright (c) 2004 Mellanox Technologies Ltd. All rights reserved.
Copyright (c) 2004 Topspin Corporation. All rights reserved.
Copyright (c) 2004 Voltaire Corporation. All rights reserved.

Since those copyrights do not apply to all files, it would be more
appropriate to remove the copyrights from the COPYING file since the
files
below all have individual copyrights. Does anyone see issues with that?

Johann
