Any reason the OFED 1.1 version should not be the trunk version of
OpenSM (which has more functionality and fixes than just this) ?

Assuming OFED 1.1 will continue on the OFED 1.0 branch, my plan would be
to make the current userspace/management into userspace/management-1.0
and copy the trunk version into userspace/management.
