Minutes:

*        Opens:

o   Question about NVMe over Fabric support in OFED.

?  Waiting for "GPL only" exception

?  Need volunteer for backporting/validation with OFED? Host? Target?

o   EWG request to include "GPL only" components in OFED, on 12/1 OFA board agenda

?  Jim Ryan to provide EWG list with the board's decision immediately after meeting

*        OFED 4.8 status:

o   Updated Nov 20th : http://www.openfabrics.org/downloads/OFED/ofed-4.8-daily/OFED-4.8-20161120-0830.tgz

?  Backports: RH7.2, RH7.3, SLES 12 SP2 (nice progress Vlad, thanks!)

?  Base: ib_core, mlx4_core, mlx4_ib, mlx4_en, ib_ipoib, cxgb3, cxgb4, nes, mlx5_ib

*        qib build issues being worked by Intel.

*        Question about mlx5_en inclusion/functionality; Vlad to verify.

?  Tech Preview: xeon-phi, pvrdma

?  Core libraries (ofa downloads) have been replaced with new rdma-core on github

*        See https://github.com/linux-rdma/rdma-core for details (new build dependencies)

*        User packages not part of core (opensm, etc) may need dependency changes for building.

*        New build environment dependencies: ninja, etc.

*        Arlin and Rupert to work with OFA download site and maintainers to deprecate old/unused git trees.

o   Do we want all OFA user component maintainers to move to github? Is that necessary?

o   Next steps:

?  Backport existing ULPs: srp, iser, nfsrdma. Is someone working this?

?  New drivers: nvme_rdma (need "GPL only" decision), hfi1 (Intel will decide soon),

?  Other backports: SLES 12, SP1;  RH 7.0, 7.1
