Hi Arlin, Vlad,



§  Too late for 4.8. (bnxt_re is in rdma_core v14)

§  EWG will push to start on OFED 4.8-1 immediately after 4.8.



We are starting our work in organizing the bnxt_en and bnxt_re patches for
ofed-4.8-1 so that we can be ready when ofed-4.8 GA happens.



Can we also think about what new OS will go in ofed-4.8-1 so that
ofed-4.8-1 roll out is quicker?

§  Broadcom is ready to add bnxt_re driver/library to OFED 4.8

§  Too late for 4.8. (bnxt_re is in rdma_core v14)

§  EWG will push to start on OFED 4.8-1 immediately after 4.8.

§  linux-rdma list raised concerns about OFED and tech preview components

§  The OFA board and XWG will discuss and advise

§  No one on call sees this as issue given the following:

·         tech preview is not included in OFED by default

·         tech preview documented in release notes

·         future plans for upstreaming

·         OFED and upstream rdma_core in sync (no repeat of XRC)

of tree, fixed in rdma_core v14)

§  2169 - IPoIB ib0 interface fails (FW issue, 12.18.2000) Add bug to
release notes.

§  2621 - Unable to compile Lustre on daily builds, RC2 fixed partly, still
fails

§  2622 - Can’t modprobe ib_qib after OS reboot/openibd reboot RH 7.3
(Intel to verify fix)



·   RC3 plan of record:

§  Tatyana to send Vlad patches for i40we fixes by Friday, May 12th.

§  Will open new Bugzilla bug for tracking

§  Replace text in LICENSE file with new approved text from OFA board.

§  Vlad to build RC3 on Monday, May 15th

§  New target of May 29th for GA? (2 weeks to test and validate RC3)
