The gen1 implementation sniffed the ingoing 
SubnetManagement.Get(NodeDesc) in the sma.c and replaced appended to the 
  results a string the looked like: <host name> HCA-<hca index>.
I think it was very useful feature.

I wonder if we would provide a patch would it will accepted?
