To clarify slightly, in IB a netdev device maps to a specific port on an IB 
device.  The linear search is required in order to handle device removal between 
identifying what the mapping is and acquiring the reference on the ib_device. 
Even if the ib_device could be returned directly, the search would still be 
needed to guarantee that the CMA currently has access to the device.
