How do you connect the QPs?
if you are using CM i think there is an endianess inconsisstency between
the CMs.

i suggest you to check the following attributes between the two sides:
rq_psn
sq_psn
dlid
dest_qp_num

problem in one of those attributes can cause the retry exceeded you got ...
