[openib-general] openMPI for 2.6.17.10 kernel

I think that this is mainly an OFA question, not so much an Open MPI
question.

Provided you can get a coherent OFA stack (which others will have to
describe how to do), Open MPI should build against it with no
problem. Be sure to use the --with-openib=<path to your OFA
installation> option to configure to enable OFA support.

Note that when using iWARP hardware, you will need to disable small
message RDMA at run-time by setting the MCA parameter
"btl_openib_use_eager_rdma" to 0. There are a variety of ways to set
MCA parameters at run time; see http://www.open-mpi.org/faq/?
category=tuning#setting-mca-params for the details.

Future releases of Open MPI should do this automatically, but the
current stable series does not (more specifically: we're just getting
the iWARP vendors involved in Open MPI, so they're just becoming part
of the process, etc.).
