[ofa-general] [0] Abort: Not enough port is in active state

Hi,
 I am getting the error:
[0] Abort: Not enough port is in active state
while using mvapich2-0.9.8.
   I do not get similar error on using   mvapich-0.9.7-mlx2.1.0
Any specific reasons for this behaviour?
How do i get rid of this error?
