I believe that the problem is related to the incoming message size and 
the attributes that were given
in the scatter entry (size of the buffer which was specified smaller 
than the message size) or the
size of the MR is smaller than the size of the message.

I suggest to check that all of the values in the scatter entry in the RR 
again
