[ofa-general] Usage of checkpatch

Roland,

I've noticed that you've mentioned checkpatch.pl a few times; I'd like to think of myself as a good programmer, so I'd like to use it myself - but I'm running into a problem: checkpatch.pl doesn't seem to be included in any of the distros I have installed (RedHat, CentOS, SuSE).

Do I need to be running a kernel.org kernel in order to get this script?
