Thanks to Pradeep Satyanarayana and Boris Shpolyansky for suggesting
that I add an entry to </font><tt><font size=2>/etc/hotplug/blacklist</font></tt><font size=2 face="sans-serif">,
but I thought that the "/etc/hotplug" stuff was replaced
in the latest kernels with "/etc/udev" functionality. Is
this not true?</font><font size=3> <br>
