for local DMA so that local data transfer doesn't has to go out of the
HCA port as regular QPs do? In another word, it's not efficient to use
QPs for local DMA transfer, is it true?</font>

If the question is can i use DMA from local QPs (both QPs are in the <br>
same HCA), then the answer is yes.<br>
<br>
The QPs can be located everywhere, even in the same HCA, or between two
<br>
different HCAs in the same machine<br>
(as long as they are in the same IB fabric).<br>
