<p>I see. The card I have is ConnectX-3. The reason I wanted to update the driver is because I am stuck with the following bug and the bug reporter suggested it as a possible workaround.</p>

<div class="PlainText">As far as I am aware, the mlx5 driver works with Connect-IB,<br>
ConnectX-4, and ConnectX-5 cards. The mlx4 driver works with<br>
ConnectX-2 and ConnectX-3 cards.<br>
