[openfabrics-ewg] OFED1.0 Rocks Roll

Just curious -- has anyone contacted OSCAR? OSCAR is a similar project
to ROCKS (i.e., it's a cluster installer / maintainer), but has a
slightly different market share. They have an abstraction similar to
"rolls" (i.e., bundling up packages to include them in OSCAR).

What is the resolution of this?
Has anyone contact Rocks?
I know we supported Rocks in gen1 and it was not that
complicated so I think we can add it if needed for gen2 release too.
The main issue we had lately with Rocks was to install it on our
systems here.

I have been in touch with Lawrence from Scalable Systems (CTO)
who is wanting to port OF stack to Rocks Roll, but not for free.
Someone will have to fund his work. We received a quote but have not
moved on it.

If we provide the Rocks folks with OFED1.0 that support RHEL4
then
they will likely add OFED into Rocks for us. I believe they did
something like this a couple of years ago, but with the
SilverStorm
stack.
