[openfabrics-ewg] OFED 1.0 release status update

Hi All,

I wish to synch all with the release status and also get a status update
of testing done by all contributors of this release.

 

RC3 testing:

Mellanox update:

*	We are testing RC3 on x86, x86_64 systems (both AMD and Intel).
*	Issues found in the install script are fixed and will be
available in RC4.
*	Component tested: OSM, OSU MPI, IPoIB, SRP, basic verbs
*	We have not started to test: ia64, RDS and uDAPL

 

Coordinators: please update all with status of your testing (ULPs and
platforms).

Very important to know status of: RDS, Open MPI, iSER, uDAPL.

 

RC4 progress: (Reminder: RC4 is planned for May-1)

1.	SDP - Started testing of the new code; LTP tests are passing.
2.	SRP - new code is under testing. FMR enhancement is passing on
x86 and x86_64 and failing on ia64.
3.	Backport patches: 

*         Work on backport patches that will enable uCMA on RH EL4.

*         Work to take the kernel code from git and enhance all
back-ports patches accordingly.

4.	Install: fixing bugs as they are reported toward RC4.
5.	Documentation: Update documentation and remove any specific
Mellanox references.

 

Components owners:

Please make sure that the code you wish to be in RC4 is updated in the
relevant location by Thursday Apr-27.

 

Attached is a table that summaries the supported HW platforms, OSes,
kernels and components.

 

Coordinators: 

Please send update of the HW platform you are using (or send them to me
and I will update it). The list now is based only on Mellanox platforms
+ PPC from Cisco.

Note that I added columns for Intel and Qlogic (PathScale) - Woody and
Betsy - can you add platforms you use and component you test.
