[openfabrics-ewg] OFED 1.0 release status

Hi All,

 

RC4 status:

 

1.	Install - completed (few more small issues and requests will be
done for RC5)
2.	Low level driver:

	a.	mthca - ready
	b.	ipath - not compile on Fedora C4; Bryan please update

3.	IPoIB - ready
4.	Opensm - ready
5.	Diagnostic tools - ready
6.	MPI:

	a.	OSU: not compile on PPC; SRQ enable; one open bug. All
to be ready for RC5
	b.	Open MPI: issue with Pallas; Jeff lease update
	c.	Tests - need to check tests license to decide if we can
include them in OFED package (Shawn can you take this?)
	d.	Cluster size - what is the largest cluster that MPI was
checked on?

7.	SRP:

	a.	Backport to 2.6.9 is not working (system crash) - under
debug
	b.	The new features (FMR, parameter tuning and daemon) are
not in trunk: Need to decide for each of the features if it a must for
the release and whether it has to be in the trunk to be included in the
OFED release.

8.	SDP:

	a.	Code completed except for graceful close (to be
completed tomorrow).
	b.	Backport patches are done.
	c.	Under testing & debug.
	d.	Revealed issues in core (mainly CM & CMA) - fixes are
taken as patches since they are not available on trunk.

9.	iSER: Voltaire - please update
10.	RDS - SilverStorm - please update
11.	uDAPL - Cisco - please update

 

The coming RCs:

*	RC5 is expected early next week (15 or 16 May) depending SDP and
SRP readiness.
*	RC6 will be a week after RC5 - for showstopper and high bug
fixes only
*	Final release is expected by the end of the month
