There was a problem in compiling the OFED 1.4.1 daily build on Itanium.
After investigation, removal of the following file fixes the problem.

Vlad, please remove this file from the EL5.3 backports. This backport is
no longer needed with EL5.3.

ofa_kernel-1.4/kernel_addons/backport/2.6.18-EL5.3/include/asm/checksum.h
