I think stuff like this is creating alot of confusion about what the
actual intent here is. I've seen your presentations at Sonoma, I've
seen the stuff in IBTA - and I still don't know what the proponents of
this want.
Is this IBoE ala FCoE - in that gateways/routers can exist to create a
heterogeneous IB fabric with Ethernet and IB physical transports?
Or..
Is this ripping Chapter 9 out of IBA and mixing in a splash of
Ethernet to give us something entirely new and different? This is
exactly what Eli's patch set has done - and is certainly what the name
RDMAoE means to me.
