At least change the slides now saying that it was approved by OFA
Since we do not have an EWG meeting this week we can only discuss it
next week

I think that we need to discuss this in the EWG meeting first as to what
release the code should go into. Since it has not been accepted upstream
and as there may be changes needed after the formal spec is released, we
may want
to consider leaving it in an experimental branch until the code is ready
for
upstream inclusion and put it into the next OFED release.

Hi Woody
Yesterday in OFA board there was a vote on RDMAoE and it was decided:
"To instruct the Enterprise Work Group and Windows Work Group to include
the LLE code into OFED and WinOF respectively"
So I wish to change the slides to reflect this
Slide 7:
Please remove:
OFED 1.5-RDMAoE Branch
Experimental branch of OFED-1.5 that also includes support for
Mellanox RDMAoE
For those that want to try out this new technology
Instead add under OFED 1.5 new features:
- RDMAoE technology
We will prepare move RDMAoE to OFED main trunk early next week.
Then need also to remove the bullet "RDMAoE (if accepted by OFA)" from
slide 9.
Thanks
Tziporet

Hi all,
Attached is a strawman agenda and slide deck skeleton that
we can use to start filling in content for the upcoming
BOF at SC'09. As we did last year, I'd suggest some content
on OFED and WinOF releases and future roadmap and leave
a lot of time for discussion with the community.
There has been a few focused topics that people have
approached me with to include in the discussion portion of
the BOF which I have included in the strawman agenda.
I suggest that Tziporet, Betsy, and myself work on the content
for the OFED section, Stan and Gilad and Yiftah pull together
the WinOF content, and perhaps Hal could add a slide or 2 on
the scalability topic. On the topic of whether to include MPI
or not, maybe we could get Jeff Squyres and DK Panda to
create a slide that describes the issue. For the topic of
building an Ethernet cluster for HPC,
Bill Boas who should work with us on this one ?
as this is a topic that you suggested
we have on the agenda.
Do people think that we can have %50 content ready by say
the end of October, which gives us plenty of time for review
and updates before SC'09.
