Thanks for the patch Jon.  I am able to built the ofs_kernel with your
patch.

I was not sure how to apply the patch to the OFED-1.5-=20090921-006.tgz I
was building from.  So I verified it
against an ofa_1_5_kernel tarball using the same configuration s the OFED
build.
