I didnt try git. mercurial merges seem to work better than svn's.
But quilt basically works for me, as well.

This is also the main disadvantage, for me: everyone has to arrange
for his own hosting, backups ... or set up ssh accounts on openib.org
servers.

BTW, there's also svk (which uses svn as an underlying transport/storage).
Did anyone try it?
