But it was already done, is my point.

No one until we do a bugfix release :).

I sure don't have a problem with that. But it would be better to avoid
touching 1.1 svn branch any more than absolutely necessary.
Do you only want this for opensm? opensm happens not to have any patches,
so it's easy.
