There is a work in progress for 2.6.9-11 to backport iser based on svn
5164 done by Bob Woodruff and is in gen2/branches/backport-to-2.6.9

The readme states:
Note that in version 5164, iSer and the associated iscsi transport,
and the iscsi tcp initiator from 2.6.15 has been backported and
included. However, there are still known problems with iSer that are
being debugged, so treat the iSer module as very experimental for now.
