Having parts of release 1.0 be true release quality, and other parts of it be 
alpha/beta quality is confusing.  There's nothing to prevent a user from getting 
SDP or driver X directly from svn if they want to run some sort of technology 
preview code.  IMO, everything that goes in release 1.0 should be release 
quality, and anything else should be packaged separately.
Regarding SDP specifically, testing the current code doesn't seem that useful 
given the number of changes that Michael is planning on making.
