Ok, and sorry for not checking the top-of-tree.

So I like the old code better (requiring the bind). Besides, if the user
does bind, then the family argument would be completely redundant.

I assume you'd continue to support rdma_bind_addr() letting the
system choose a port by binding to port 0...
