[openib-general] iSER Status

Hi Mohit,

Linux kernel 2.6.16 does not include ISER. ISER (initiator only) is scheduled for kernel 2.6.18.
The ISER initiator code from openIB trunk is stable, and works with the open-iscsi initiator.

The ISER target code is the seed of a project aimed to provide an iSCSI/ISER target. It
is in early development. The code itself is stable, but there is no iSCSI target you can interface it with.
We plan to interface it with the stgt project.

Dan
