OK, how's this look to people? It encapsulates the logic to find a HT capability, and adds logic to cope with the fact that the HT_CAPTYPE fields actually sit in 3 or 5 bits of the top byte in the capability. Built for Powerpc and Intel, booted on Powerpc. cheers
