[openib-general] Question about OSM sending SetPortInfo in heavy sweep

Hi Hal.

I have a question regarding OpenSM issuing SetPortInfo 
during heavy sweep.
I have two HCAs connected back-2-back. Since there are no 
switches there, every light sweep is turning into a heavy 
sweep. As part of the heavy sweep, OSM is issuing SetPortInfo 
to all the ports, despite the fact that there were no changes
in the subnet. 
This behavior is new - in OFED 1.1 OSM wasn't setting the 
PortInfo in every sweep.

Do you remember what patch caused this? 
What was the reason?
