We are falling in the "else" portion of mthca_cmd_post, i.e.
mthca_cmd_post_hcr, so I guess this will not have any effect.
BTW, we have the below static variable set to 0 in the same file.

Try the module option fw_cmd_doorbell=0 for ib_mthca maybe?
