This is now completed.

Also, consumers of the now OLD svn trunk should start cloning the
developer projects if they care.

In git, this is a per project thing (updating
<proj-name>.git/hooks/update so we can either:
1. leave it to each maintainer to decide, or
2. try to mandate that each maintainer do this

How important is (continuing) this ?
