[ofa-general] IPoIB connected mode on RedHat EL5

I am running the OFED 1.2 on RedHat EL5 and it appears that IPoIB
connected mode is not enable, since the mpu size is set to 2044
and  cannot be set 
higher than 2044. On our RedHat EL4 systems, by default the 
mtu size is 65536 and it appears that connected mode is working.
Is this expected behavior for the Beta release and will this be 
fixed before the release ?
