[ofa-general] Port State Change Event

Hi,
We would want to simulate various port states (ARM, INIT, ACTIVE, DOWN,
ACTIVE DEFER) on target side without connecting to the network (No SM).

Question: Is it true that functions in mad.c gets called even for local
port (Assuming that we have SM in the network and one target port is
directly connected to initiator port running SM)? In other words, where
in the OFED code, we can see port states getting changed?

Thanks
Ashish

What exactly do you need?

I believe that you saw the code that produces the event (port active and

port down events).

The entity that takes care of the machine state of the logical link is
the openSM (or any other Subnet Manager):
It sends MADs to the IB port between the nodes in the subnet, configures

the port's properties and
move the logical link to active state.
