hi roland,  these are changes which help prepare
for the upcoming iba7220 driver series.  these
are changes to the existing code only, and do
not support the iba7220 directly, but should help
to make reviewing the iba7220 code easier when
it finally arrives.  there is one more patch series
like this one, then the actual driver will follow...

these patches, based on your for-2.6.25 branch are
avail by git pull from:
