Absolutely.  My point being that if you wanted to specify an alternate
config path (w/o editting the init script), I think specify OPTIONS in
the sysconfig is the only way??

We don't personally.  But I do know that the system administrators do
use sysconfig for a variety of other daemons.  So I think keeping the
sysconfig OPTIONS variable available as an option is important.
