The deadline for discounted 'Early Bird' registrations to the Sonoma
Workshop has been extended to this Friday, March 6. The discounted rate is
$495. You can register for the event and book a hotel room at
http://www.acteva.com/booking.cfm?bevaid=173845.
Ronald Luijten of the IBM Zurich Research Lab will kickoff the Sonoma
Workshop with a keynote on the evening of Sunday, March 22. The keynote
will examine the requirements of network transports and wire protocols for
40 and 100 gigabit data rates. The entire agenda for the March 22-25 event
is packed with great content, including speakers from AMD, Cisco, Intel,
General Motors, Goldman Sachs, Microsoft, NASA, Oracle, the Linux Foundation
and more. We will also hear from Addison Snell, Vice President and General
Manager of Tabor Research, who will discuss the future of low-latency
fabrics for HPC and enterprise datacenters, including the projected adoption
rate for these fabrics and the likely impact of these technologies in the
years ahead. A preliminary agenda is attached.
Membership in the Alliance is not necessary to attend the Sonoma Workshop.
Please pass along event information to any colleagues, customers, partners
or business associates who may be interested in attending. More details
about the Sonoma Workshop are available at www.OpenFabrics.org
<http://www.openfabrics.org/> . The OpenFabrics Alliance is looking forward
to a great event. We hope to see everyone in Sonoma.
