[ofiwg] creating a table with markdown

The conversion is from markdown directly to html and man pages.  Man2html isn't used anymore.  My selected syntax for creating the table was spectacularly unsuccessful.  I can find details on how to construct tables using markdown, but I haven't found anything that indicates that can be used to produce man pages as well.
