Libfabric is dual license.  Fabtests has integrated a json parser that uses the MIT license, which I believe falls under the unrestricted case.

Paolo's work probably can't be integrated under its current license, but libfabric supports external providers.

We can consider adding documentation to libfabric to reference external providers that are available, whether those providers are open source or not.
