Hi Haiyang,

If you are trying to link with an external library while building sockets, you can just add the dependency through the configure file (prov/sockets/configure.m4).
You can also take a look at other providers (like verbs, mxm) that do this currently.

I am currently making modifications to the sockets provider, and I would like to use an external .so library. How do I modify the makefile so that the library can be found at the linking stage?
