Thanks for the feedback.  The main difference between rdma-core and ofiwg is that we use github exclusively for patch submissions and reviews.  But, your option 1 is equivalent to the TOKEN:KEY proposal.

Excellent - I'll need to look these over as well, but it sounds promising.
