Ok, so I gave this a shot and it seems that it's impossible to log boot-time
events to the debugger. You can either log boot-time events to a log file, or
log events to the debugger, but not both.
To me, this means that we'll want both debug macros and WPP macros at the same
time, and for different purposes. It also means that the WPP macros would
likely always be compiled in.
