I was saying the latter but the former is certainly possible too but I
have no knowledge of additional vendors doing this. In any case, this
should be done extensibly as there is no standard for vnic and each vnic
is specific to each vendor who offers this service.

Hopefully in the next (Windows) release timeframe as mentioned at Reno.
