What: OFA - Windows Working Group Meeting
When: Wed Jan 14, 2009, 08:00 AM - 09:00 AM US Pacific (standard) Time

Attending:
Qlogic - John, Eleanor, Alex, Depack
  Mellanox - Ishai, Alex, Reuven
  Intel - Sean, Stan.

WinOF 2.1 dates of interest:
  Functionality freeze early April 2009
  Release June 2009

WinOF 2.1 contents:

IPoIB CM (Connected Mode) NDIS 5.1 version.
OFED IB verbs API (libibverbs.dll) supported.
  WinVerbs and rdma_cm supported.
  Some OFED IB diagnostics.
Server 2008 HPC WDM install support.
WinOF driver install from WDM + WinOF driverless install (msiexec.exe).
WinOF drivers enhanced to provide more system event log error entries.

IPoIB CM status:
IPoIB CM is in the alpha test phase; a few more weeks of testing before
  merging into trunk.
Alex E. will setup IPoIB CM meeting to discuss/explain the CM design
and administrative operation, all with an eye towards how best
to migrate IPoIB CM to NDIS 6.0.
Mellanox desires IPoIB CM (Connected Mode) NDIS 6.0 support in WinOF 2.1
  release [stretch goal].
NDIS 6.0 only supported in WLH variants (>= Server 2008).
Therefore Server 2003 and XP require a NDIS 5.1 version of IPoIB CM; two
  binaries.
Initial thinking is to split off a NDIS 6.0 development tree.

WinVerbs, rdma_cm status:
Sean is testing rdma_cm over the wire; Linux interoperability testing
  will commence ASAP.

OFED IB diagnostics:
Libibcommon has been dropped on the Linux OFED side, Windows will follow.
Arlin is tracking OFED diagnostic changes along with pushing Windows
libmad changes back to OFED git tree. Current libmad code change push back
revolves around complib dependencies and GCC vs. MS (WDK) compiler differences.
GCC is C99 compliant while MS (WDK) Compiler is not, hence code differences.
OFED tree has new diagnostic library - libdiagnet; windows will adopt.

WinOF XP support will continue.

WinOF 2.0 + patches has passed WHQL certification. Alex @ Mellanox will
advise on list of 2.0 patches or which trunk SVN to use as the base
for the WinOF 2.0.1 point release.

Stan will talk with Fab T. about Windows 7 support ramifications.

Next WWG meeting will be on Tuesday in approximately 4 weeks (mid Feb) date TBA.
