I've actually submitted patches against umad to define the ib wire structures.  In my patches, I separated out the various structures types into different header files (cm.h, perf.h, sa.h, etc.)  Those patches were never acted on.  I'll resubmit them and see where they go.  The goal was to remove dependencies on an opensm header file, so that a user of umad could actually do something with the interface.
