Hello Ira,
I just downloaded libipathverbs-1.2. I think I have compiled and installed to Ubuntu successfully. But ibv_devinfo still couldn't find the device.
I notice the README didn't list supported hardware of QLE7340 (it did list support for QLE7140 ), do you think this is the reason?

You need. (As listed on this page: https://www.openfabrics.org/downloads/MAINTAINERS)
libipathverbs: Mike Marciniszyn
http://www.openfabrics.org/downloads/libipathverbs
git://github.com/01org/libipathverbs.git master
(infinipath at intel.com<mailto:infinipath at intel.com<mailto:infinipath at intel.com%3cmailto:infinipath at intel.com>>)
It is likely there is no Ubuntu packaging for it but I don't see why it would not compile.
Ira

Hello Mei,
Unfortunately OFED 3.5 does not support Ubuntu at this point. Please see the release notes attached for a list of supported OSs. I have also "cc" the OFA User list because there are some members who have worked with Ubuntu and have provided support for InfiniBand using different versions of OFED. I believe we will see some response.
Thanks
Rupert

Hi,
I have installed OFED-3.5 on Ubuntu 12.04 with an Intel HCA QLE7340. I intended to use qperf to measure RDMA performance, but encounter problems. So I am checking what could be missing.
When $ ibv_devinfo
libibverbs: Warning: no userspace device-specific driver found for /sys/class/infiniband_verbs/uverbs0
No IB devices found
What device that ibv_devinfo is looking for?
The device driver ib-qib is up.
$ibstat: seems OK
