Hello Josef,

I don't use openibd. Mellanox drivers were installed using the rocks hpc roll.

Do you use openibd?
If yes, then MLX5_LOAD=yes
in openibd.conf should be OK. (and then reload the openibd script)

[root at m20000 ~]# cat /etc/infiniband/openib.conf | grep -i mlx5
MLX5_LOAD=yes
[root at m20000 ~]#

Subject: [Users] Update mellanox drivers

Hello All,

I currently have mlx4 driver installed on our cluster, but am facing issue regarding registrable memory and would like to update to mlx5. I was able to locate the mlx5_core.ko driver file but I am not sure if running modprobe is enough to load it, as there is no mlx5.conf on the system. I couldn't find any instructions on the right way to do it on the internet.

Can anyone please point me to a user/instruction manual as to the right way of doing it?

Any help is appreciated!

Regards

Krishna
