Hi,

This is probably because 3.18-2 did not have backports for RHEL 6.8 since
3.18-2 was released in July (see attached release notes). I will bring this
issue up in the next EWG meeting to see if we want to consider support for
6.8 with another 3.18-xx release.

  o Linux Operating Systems:
       - RedHat EL6.5 2.6.32-431.el6
       - RedHat EL6.6 2.6.32-504.el6
       - RedHat EL6.7 2.6.32-573.el6
       - RedHat EL7.0 3.10.0-123.el7
       - RedHat EL7.1 3.10.0-229.el7
       - RedHat EL7.2 3.10.0-327.el7
       - SLES11 SP3 3.0.76-0.9.1
       - SLES11 SP4 3.0.101-63
       - SLES12 3.12.28-4
       - SLES12.1 3.12.49-11.1
       - kernel.org 3.18 *

Thanks

Rupert

Amiya,
I had the same issue - errors while building OFED-3.18-2 on REHL 6.8. I
switched to OFED-3.18-2 on RHEL 6.7 and was able to build without any
issues.

I would be curious to know if you manage to build OFED-3.18-2 on REHL 6.8.

Thank you,
Aleksandr Nepomnyashchiy

Hi,

I am trying to build OFA OFED drivers on Redhat-6.8 (Kernel 2.6.32.642) but
encountering various errors pasted below. I have tried building both
"--with-xeon-phi" and without -- but faced same errors.

If anyone has experience building OFED on Kernel-2.6.32.642, I would
appreciate some guidance. If it is not compatible, can someone suggest me a
compatible OFED driver?

Error messages:
---------------------
include/linux/percpu.h:713: error: 'printk_func_t' undeclared here (not in a
function)
include/linux/percpu.h:713: warning: type defaults to 'int' in declaration
of 'per_cpu__printk_func'
--
include/linux/skbuff.h: In function 'skb_probe_transport_header':
include/linux/skbuff.h:1408: error: 'struct flow_keys' has no member named
'thoff'

Best regards,
AM
