Yes, we can move forward with 4.8 GA. Please add the following workaround option with the SRP issue:


It is possible to install the ib_srp-backport driver on top of OFED as follow:

1. Install the OS (RHEL, SLES, ...).

2. Install OFED.

3. Install the ib_srp-backport driver, e.g. as follows (assuming $USER !=root):

git clone https://github.com/bvanassche/ib_srp-backport

cd ib_srp-backport

make rpm

sudo rpm -U $PWD/rpmbuilddir/RPMS/*/*.rpm

Hi Arlin,
I am ready to build OFED-4.8.
Issue 2631 was fixed on RHEL7.3. So, there are no known issues on RHEL7.3.
RHEL7.2 still has SRP issues: 2632 (and as a result 2631 and 2634 cannot be validated on RHEL7.2).
I added these issues to the release notes.
Any more updates for the release notes or I can run OFED-4.8 build?

§  2632 - SRP login failure for SL7.2 and OFED 4.8-rc4 (ib_srp:Sending CM DREQ failed)

·        Fails on SL7.2, Works on SL7.3 and OFED-4.8-20170706-1608

§  2634 - SRP resource allocation failure on mlx4, using queue_size=128

·        Need a recommendation for queue_size workaround

o   Is this coming from Vlad, DDN, or SRP maintainer?
