[openib-general] usermode tree changes

Hello!

Good idea.
But I still see userspace/osm/ at 1406.

Cant something be done about the necessity to set the openib root?
Assuming I check everything out properly from svn, why cant each
component set OPENIB_ROOT inside the makefile to ../../ or something?
