Paul,

Does this mean that NVMe driver do SCSI command to NVMe command translation, as of today , to facilitate using existing IO tools without modification ?

Best Regards,
Ramesh

No modification is needed.  The NVMe driver surfaced namespaces as SCSI LUNs under storport so iometer can be used either available the physical disk or one can put a file system on the target as well.

Thx
Paul

All,

I have noticed that in the NVMe windows driver release notes, IOMETER tool was mentioned for testing NVMe Driver.

Does the IOMETER need a modification to use with NVMe Driver or we can use it without any modifications. If no modification is needed, can someone please explain how the block IO calls from IOMETER were mapped/connected to NVMe Windows driver Stack to generate traffic using this driver ?

Best Regards,

Ramesh
